History of Bursa
There are a lot of tumuluses lightening to pre-historical background of Northwestern part of Anatolia, from 6000 B.C. to 1200 B.C. in this territory. 30 of these tumuluses were explored. Scientific study was realised only a few of tumuluses that were explored .Because of lack of authority appeared after beeing collapsed of Hitit civilizations, rulling during 1200 B.C. in Anatolia , Bursa and its neighbourhood was invaded by communities such as Bityn and Tynin, which come from Balkans to Anatolia. Then these relative communities established Bithynia Kingdoom on this region.Present borders of region lying from Mustafakemalpaşa Town and extented to shore of Marmara and Black Sea, was called Bithynia in ancient age and the southern part of the region also stands on Mysia antique area.
Bursa is involved in Ottoman Lands upon the founder of Ottoman Goverment , Master Osman’s death in 1326 ,in the terms of his son, Master Orhan. Master Orhan had Bursa been the capital city, upon this father, Master Osman’s testament he made his father buried in a tomb which is constructed on the chapel of Gümüşlü Tomb that is known as Saint Elias Monastery in Hisar .
At this term ,Ottomans settled in Hisar which was surrounded by ramparts. The first money of Ottoman Goverment was minted in the reign of Ghazi Osman.In 1327 a palace, which is called ‘’ Bey Sarayı ‘’(Master’s Palace), Orhan Mosque , a soup kitchen and a bath were constructed with the order of Orhan Bey.Bursa came to exist as the first capital city of Cihan Empire which has directed to the world for more than 600 years.
Cumalıkızık

Cumalıkızık , located on the slopes of Uludağ and east of Yıldırım district is only 10 km from city center. It is one of the five village on the slopes of Uludağ.The village has maintained its historical character and present one of the first examples of early Ottoman characters
Inkaya Plane Tree

Its in Inkaya village which is on Uludağ Road from Çekirge.According to the result of the calculation the trr is supposed to be 600 years old.Its diameter is 3 meter and its circumference is 9,45 meter.
The Cave Of Ayvaini

Ayva village which is located to South of the Uluabat Lake and 40 km from Bursa has got unique beauty.The Cave of Ayvaini which is the second longest cave of Turkey, is located in this gren , peaceful village.The cave of which length is 5.5 km was discovered by a group from Spain in 1970. |
